Pluma Lounge

Cocktails and duck fat fries in a lounge setting. Happy hour is the move, but it gets crowded. Reservations help.

The review

Our take

We went to Pluma Lounge for happy hour before dinner. We had a reservation, got greeted right away, and were taken to a little table with two chairs and a coffee table between them. It leans hard into the lounge setup. Reservations are definitely recommended. It is downtown near the pier, and vacation season can bring a tourist-heavy crowd.

The cocktail list runs through classics and some modern takes. Happy hour is pretty decent, though the food side is only a few small bites. Small bites are a broader part of the menu here. A waiter came over and told us about the specials. One was french fries fried in duck fat, and that is what we got. The fries were very nice.

We used it to kick off the evening, and that feels like the right lane for the place. It sits next to Juno and is part of the Peacock restaurant group. The little table and lounge format make more sense for drinks first than for settling in for dinner.

What stood out

Duck fat fries.
