We sat at the bar at OLIVIA, got cocktails, a Caesar salad, and a Neapolitan-style pizza. That ended up being a pretty clear map of the place for us. The bar service was good. The service was good. The cocktails were good. The Caesar salad was great. The pizza was decent. Not bad, not a disaster, just not the thing that carried the meal.

Start at the bar

The bar was the right move on our visit. OLIVIA has a full bar and lounge, and that matters because the bar did not feel like backup seating. It felt like a real place to have dinner. We sat there, ordered, and got the kind of service that keeps a meal easy. No drama, no weird gaps, no reason to think about it too much. That is usually a good sign.

The Caesar was the win

The best thing we had was the Caesar salad. It was great, full stop. It is the one thing from this meal that we would point to first. The pizza was decent. It was Neapolitan style, and it did the job.

That does not make OLIVIA a miss. If the whole point is chasing an amazing pizza, our visit does not support that.

Useful stuff before going

The practical setup fits this bar-first read of the place. OLIVIA dinner hours starts at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with weekend service starting at 4 p.m. Reservations are available, and the restaurant asks parties of seven or more to call directly. Valet is offered at the front, with some street parking around the building on a first come, first served basis. That is useful because downtown parking can decide our mood before the first drink lands.

The restaurant also has a wine wall and an on-site sommelier, which we did not use, but it adds to the picture. Based on our visit, we would go back and sit at the bar again.
