Our take
Elliott Aster is downtown, part of The Vinoy, and might be the best restaurant in St Pete. The handmade pasta is the fantastic, with the beef cheek tortelli being a standout. The atmosphere is classy (think art deco/roaring twenties/Great Gatsby). Reservations are a must, but you might get lucky with a bar seat. They do brunch on weekends. Full bar with cocktails, wine, and beer. Prices are decent for what you get. It's the kind of place you'd pick for a special night out or when you have friends or family visiting from out of town.
